The next meeting of the University Group for Electric Energy Systems (GUSEE) will be hosted by the Research Unit of the University of Calabria. It will take place on June 13-14 in Amantea (CS), set against the stunning backdrop of the Tyrrhenian coast of Cosenza, providing an ideal setting for high-level academic and professional discussions.
GUSEE: A Brief Introduction
GUSEE is an association dedicated to promoting and coordinating university scientific research in the field of electrical and electronic systems and installations for energy. Composed of professors, researchers from the scientific disciplinary sector ING-IND/33 (recently renamed IIND-08/B), along with representatives from national research institutes, GUSEE is committed to fostering knowledge-sharing and developing innovative solutions for a sustainable and resilient energy future.
Event Program
The two-day program is filled with in-depth discussions, presentations, and networking opportunities.
June 13
The first day will focus on discussions, featuring three roundtables:
- CACER Configuration and Renewable Energy Communities
This session will explore the configurations of Collective Renewable Energy Self-consumption (CACER) and their crucial role in renewable energy communities. Topics will include the latest technological innovations, regulatory challenges, and market opportunities. - Sustainable Mobility
Emerging trends in sustainable mobility, such as the electrification of transportation and the development of infrastructure for road, rail, and port mobility, will be examined with the goal of effectively integrating them into our cities and communities. - The Challenge of the Job Market for Electrical Engineering Graduates
This roundtable will explore the difficulties companies face in finding qualified electrical engineers, discussing the gap between market demands and academic training, and identifying strategies to attract and train the next generation of engineers.
Key policymakers and institutional stakeholders in the regional and national energy transition will participate.
June 14
The second day will be dedicated to GUSEE’s scientific and organizational activities:
- Scientific Council
- General Assembly
- GUSEE Young Professionals Meeting
How to Participate
