The Department of Enterprise Engineering (DII) at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata,” in line with the university’s strategy, places great emphasis on research activities, both independent and commissioned by external organizations and companies. Thanks to this activity, the DII maintains close ties with businesses, research centers, and public institutions, offering cutting-edge and constantly updated knowledge within the university courses taught by its members.
The represented Scientific Disciplinary Sectors are: Management Engineering (ING-IND/35), Environmental Technical Physics (ING-IND/11), Industrial Plants (ING-IND/17), Electrical Engineering (ING-IND/31), Fluid Machines (ING-IND/08), Applied Mechanics (ING-IND/13), Design and Methods of Industrial Engineering (ING-IND/15), Metallurgy (ING-IND/21), Mechanical Design and Machine Construction (ING-IND/14), Materials Science and Technology (ING-IND/22), Manufacturing Technologies and Systems (ING-IND/16), Telecommunications (ING-INF/03), Information Processing Systems (ING-INF/05), Transportation (ICAR/05), Operations Research (MAT/09), Computer Science (INF-01), History of Architecture (ICAR-18), and Private Law (IUS/01). In these areas, the department members are involved in research projects funded by the European Union, various Ministries, and public and private companies.
The faculty members of the Department of Enterprise Engineering are primarily involved in the degree programs in Management Engineering, Energy Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, and Civil Engineering, offering numerous courses. The teaching commitment also extends to several first- and second-level Master’s programs.
