The main basic research, applied research and service activities concern the following topics

Distributed Generation

  • Forecasting of production from renewable sources
  • Impact on the distribution networks (quality, reliability, availability)
  • Interfacing the generators with the network.

Management and Control

  • Management and control strategies of Smart and micro grid
  • Strategies for participating in electricity markets
  • Efficiency of electricity consumption and energy savings
  • Dynamic rating of lines and transformers

Quality and Safety

  • Power Quality Monitoring, Analysis & Solutions (harmonics, voltage sags, interruptions, flicker, unbalances)
  • Analysis and verification of electrical safety

Electric and sustainable mobility

  • Development and prototyping of mobile applications with PEMFC
  • Development and prototyping of hydrogen Power Units for mobility applications
